Lance defeated Zero

Battle Format: Non-Title, Single
Battle Video: U7KW-WWWW-WWW8-Q2NF

Lance: Lapras, Dragonite, Arcanine, Alakazam, Vileplume, Venomoth
Zero: Politoed, Meganium, Kingdra, Umbreon, Ampharos, Mantine

In a very slow-paced, long battle, Lance scored an upset over the IPL World Champion. Zero lost the first 3 Pokémon in this one, and it looked as if Lance might cruise to an easy victory. However, Zero called on Mega Ampharos to try and turn the tide and it picked up a pair of KOs, one before Mega Evolving. Lance then summoned Morgane (Alakazam) to take down Zero’s Mega Pokémon, for the first of its 2 KOs. Zero managed to take down one more of Lance’s Pokémon, but couldn’t complete the comeback, giving the win to Lance.

AJ defeated Alexander

Battle Format: Triple

AJ: Mamoswine, Meowstic, Greninja, Banette, Salamence, Clawitzer
Alexander: Espeon, Florges, Roserade, Scrafty, Tyranitar, Dragonite

Both trainers battled back and forth in this one, but some well timed good fortune for AJ cemented the victory. AJ got on the board first with Valefor (Salamence) getting the KO on Ion (Roserade). Alexander then bounced back with Breeze (Florges) picking up 2 KOs. After AJ lost another Pokémon, the tide turned and Alexander lost the next 3. Neck and neck, Rampage (Tyranitar) suffered a flinch at the worst possible moment, allowing 7.62 FMJ (Clawitzer) to take out Guy (Scrafty), swinging the edge to AJ. Akujiki (Greninja) finished off Rampage to secure its 2nd KO of the battle and the win for AJ.

Jeff defeated Custos

Battle Format: Single
Battle Video: PH5G-WWWW-WWW8-R9TG

Jeff: Charizard, Metagross, Magnezone, Garchomp, Tyranitar, Nidoking
Custos: Heracross, Staraptor, Greninja, Scizor, Espeon, Torterra

Jeff came out of the gate hot in this battle and never looked back. Nova (Mega Charizard X) scored the first 2 KOs of the battle for Jeff. Mega Scizor tried to draw things even for Custos, taking down Tesla (Magnezone), but it became the first of 2 victims for Metagross. At this point, the trainers traded 2 KOs a piece, but with Custos having only 2 Pokémon left, this gave the victory to Jeff.

Andy defeated Michael

Battle Format: Triple
Battle Video: AFCW-WWWW-WWW8-U7T5

Andy: Meowstic, Electivire, Zapdos, Goodra, Slowbro, Azumarill
Michael: Talonflame, Noivern, Magnezone, Electivire, Swampert, Malamar

Andy jumped out to an early advantage in this battle. Michael tried to shuffle the deck a bit to turn the tide, but the battle just snowballed out of control quickly. Licht (Electivire) was a beast in this one for Andy, thanks to a couple of Motor Drive boosts from Zapdos, scoring 5 KOs. The only KO it didn’t score was on Swampert, who went down to friendly fire from the Boomburst of Hermes (Noivern). Unfortunately, the only KO Michael was able to notch was on his own Pokémon, as Andy completed the clean sweep.
